25 Watches to Research for Flipping
Data current as of mid-2026 — markets move (MoonSwatch and PRX especially). Treat every number as a market-dependent estimate, not a price tag.
These aren't the rarest or priciest watches — they're the ones with deep, liquid resale markets where a beginner or mid-tier flipper can actually source, authenticate, and sell without getting stuck. Numbers are drawn from WatchCharts, Chrono24, eBay sold listings, and enthusiast communities.
Read this before you buy anything: the "Gross Margin" column is before fees — and fees bite. eBay's watch final-value fee runs roughly ~15% on watches under $1,000 (plus a per-order fee), before shipping, insurance, and the occasional return. A $200→$300 flip looks like 33% gross, but after ~15% fees (~$45), shipping (~$15), and any cleaning, your real net is closer to $40. And margin % means nothing without liquidity — a 40% margin on a watch that sits 6 months is worse than 20% you turn twice. When you're starting, prioritize the High-liquidity rows.
| # | Model / Reference | Segment | Buy (used, USD) | Sold (USD) | Gross margin (pre-fee, est.) | Liquidity | Key risk / note |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Casio G-Shock GA-2100 "CasiOak" | Entry | $50–$80 | $90–$130 | ~25–45% | High | Thin per-unit profit; a volume game. Hyped collabs / steel GM-B2100 are the real money. Verify model code. |
| 2 | Seiko 5 Sports SRPD (SRPD55 etc.) | Entry | $90–$140 | $150–$220 | ~30–55% | High | Abundant supply caps upside; buy clean/boxed only. Stable, doesn't appreciate. |
| 3 | Seiko 5 SNK (SNK809/803) | Entry | $40–$80 | $90–$160 | ~40–80% | High | Tiny absolute profit; great cheap-and-fast flip. Mods can add or kill value. |
| 4 | Orient Bambino (V2/V4) | Entry | $80–$120 | $130–$190 | ~25–50% | Med | Low ceiling; sells on looks/condition. Scratched crystals common — factor a refresh. |
| 5 | Citizen Eco-Drive (dress/sport) | Entry | $50–$110 | $100–$180 | ~30–60% | Med | Eco-Drive cells age; "won't hold charge" = dead flip. Test before listing. |
| 6 | Citizen Promaster NY0040 "Fugu" (auto) | Entry/Mid | $130–$200 | $200–$300 | ~25–50% | Med-High | Strong 1-yr uptrend. Confirm auto vs. Eco-Drive reference. |
| 7 | G-Shock collab / LE (Hodinkee, Mayer, "stealth") | Mid | $150–$400 | $300–$900+ | ~40–120% | Med | Hype-dependent & volatile; verify authenticity + full set. |
| 8 | Omega × Swatch MoonSwatch (standard) | Entry/Mid | $230–$320 | $340–$460 | ~20–45% | High | Hype cooled from peak; condition critical. Scuffed bioceramic + emerging fakes. |
| 9 | MoonSwatch LE (Snoopy / Gold / Moonshine) | Mid | $400–$650 | $540–$800+ | ~25–60% | Med | LE premium real but fickle; authenticate, full packaging matters a lot. |
| 10 | Seiko SKX007 (discontinued 2019) | Mid | $200–$300 | $300–$400 | ~25–50% | High | Fakes/frankens rampant — verify dial, movement, caseback. Boxed/bracelet adds $50–$100. |
| 11 | Seiko SKX009 "Pepsi" | Mid | $220–$330 | $320–$430 | ~25–50% | High | Sells ~5–10% over SKX007. Same fake/franken warning; J variants premium. |
| 12 | Seiko Turtle SRP777 / SRPE | Mid | $250–$340 | $340–$450 | ~20–45% | Med-High | Still sold new-ish — used must undercut retail. |
| 13 | Seiko Samurai SRPB51 | Mid | $150–$200 | $200–$260 | ~20–40% | Med | Depreciating; still at retail new, so used must be cheap to move. |
| 14 | Seiko Sumo SPB / SBDC | Mid | $350–$500 | $480–$650 | ~20–40% | Med | Heavier ticket = slower flip. Service history & bracelet condition matter. |
| 15 | Seiko Monster (SRP/4R) | Mid | $150–$250 | $230–$340 | ~25–50% | Med | Polarizing design narrows buyers; lume/bezel wear common. |
| 16 | Seiko SARB033/035 (JDM, discontinued) | Mid | $280–$400 | $380–$520 | ~20–45% | High | Strong demand (SARB033 sells fast); beware sellers >$500. Confirm JDM authenticity. |
| 17 | Seiko Alpinist SARB017 (green, disc.) | Mid | $600–$850 | $850–$1,100 | ~20–40% | Med | Collector premium; service-fresh examples top dollar. Verify genuine, not relume. |
| 18 | Seiko Presage Cocktail Time (SRPB77) | Mid | $250–$380 | $350–$500 | ~20–45% | Med | LEs carry premium; base refs flat. Crystal scratches hurt. |
| 19 | Seiko Prospex / Presage LE divers | Mid | varies | 5–30%+ over retail | situational | Med | LEs can run above retail; non-LE Presage depreciates. Know which is which. |
| 20 | Hamilton Khaki Field Mechanical (38mm) | Mid | $300–$420 | $420–$550 | ~20–40% | Med-High | Holds value better than Tissot; strap vs. bracelet differ. Beware fake "Murph" hype. |
| 21 | Tissot PRX Powermatic 80 | Mid | $400–$550 | $500–$680 | ~15–35% | Med | Heavy depreciation risk (sold new everywhere) — buy well under retail or skip. |
| 22 | Vintage Seiko 6309 "Turtle" diver | Mid (vintage) | $250–$450 | $400–$700+ | ~30–70% | Med | Franken / "Mumbai special" minefield — fake dials/hands everywhere. Authenticate or skip. |
| 23 | Vintage Seiko 6105 diver | Mid/Asp (vintage) | $700–$1,500 | $1,200–$2,500+ | ~30–60% | Low-Med | High fake rate, expensive entry, slow sale. Experts only; originality is everything. |
| 24 | Omega Speedmaster "Moonwatch" (pre-owned) | Aspirational | $4,200–$5,500 | $4,800–$6,500 | ~8–20% | Med | Super-clones serious at this tier. Box & papers near-mandatory; service ($600+) eats margin. |
| 25 | Tudor Black Bay 58 (79030, pre-owned) | Aspirational | $3,000–$3,800 | $3,400–$4,700 | ~8–18% | Med | Thin %, big capital tied up; authentication & full set essential. Slow turnover. |
Reality check on rows 24–25: percentage margins shrink as price climbs, fakes get more sophisticated, and capital sits longer. One bad Speedmaster or Tudor buy can wipe out a month of G-Shock/Seiko profits. They're graduation pieces, not starting points.
