How to prep an eBay watch listing so authentication doesn't have to save a weak listing

Know when authentication is free
On eBay US, Authenticity Guarantee is free for eligible wristwatches that sell for $2,000 or more, and available as an $80 add-on for select watches priced $500–$1,999.99. Smartwatches, parts, and accessories are not eligible. Knowing which side of the $2,000 line your watch falls on changes how you price and describe it.
Set the floor before the listing goes live
Before listing, write down the ask, the floor, your landed cost, fees, shipping, insurance, and your reserves. If the floor doesn't protect your target profit, solve that before you publish — not in the heat of a lowball offer.
Returns are part of the business. Verified returns may reduce uncertainty, but you should still carry a return reserve so one reversal doesn't erase the whole flip.
